This past October 6, an unforgettable day in Madrid brought together more than 750 wine professionals and celebrated the diversity, innovation, and identity of Argentine wines.

Mendoza, October 8, 2025 – Wines of Argentina (Wofa) celebrates the success of the first edition of the I Argentine Wine Fair, which took place on October 6, 2025, at Forbes House Madrid.
This vibrant and energetic meeting brought together more than 750 professionals from the Spanish wine sector—sommeliers, restaurateurs, distributors, journalists, and enthusiasts—, thus consolidating itself as a milestone for the promotion of Argentine Wine in that market.
The event was supported by the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Spain, whose ambassador, D. Wenceslao Bunge Saravia, officially inaugurated the salon, highlighting the cultural and economic relevance of wine as a bridge between both nations.
Wines of Argentina collaborated in the dissemination of the event in Argentina, contributing to highlight the richness, innovative character, and diversity that today position our wines among the most admired in the world.
A Sensory Journey through Argentine Diversity
The Salon became a unique platform to showcase the different producing regions of Argentina: more than 35 wineries presented 300 wines. Those who attended were able to enjoy an authentic sensory journey:
- From the vineyards of Cuyo (Mendoza and San Juan), the cradle of Malbec;
- passing through the altitude of the Northwest (Salta and Catamarca);
- and the breezes of the Atlantic Zone (Buenos Aires),
- to the extreme Patagonia (Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut).
This tour allowed Spanish attendees to taste iconic labels, and also discover new projects that demonstrate that Argentine Wine is a trend and bottled emotion. Argentine wineries once again demonstrated that the national beverage is a reflection of identity, innovation, and diversity.
Success in Attendance and Future Projection
The I Argentine Wine Fair exceeded all expectations. The three masterclasses held in the main Auditorium and the two thematic tastings reached full capacity, which confirms the growing interest of the Spanish sector in learning more about Argentine Wine and the human stories behind each winery.
In total, 450 tasting notebooks were distributed, more than 3,000 Riedel glasses were raised to toast, and a team of 30 people—led by Argentine sommeliers and entrepreneurs Daniel Perchante and Pilar Oltra—ensured that this first Salon was a lesson in Argentine hospitality and professionalism in the heart of Madrid.
The success achieved lays the foundation for consolidating this event as an essential event in the Spanish wine calendar. In fact, the Argentine Wine Fair has confirmed its second edition in Madrid for October 5 and 6, 2026.
Wines of Argentina will continue working to strengthen this space for authentic encounters between professionals and wine lovers from both sides of the Atlantic, promoting the quality and uniqueness of our wines in the world’s markets.
